Questions & Answers
How is Gold Vermeil different from gold plating?
It comes down to thickness and the foundation. Standard "gold plating" is often a microscopic wash over inferior brass. Serra Morphe Gold Vermeil is a regulated standard: a minimum of 2 microns of 18K gold bonded directly to Solid 925 Sterling Silver. Engineered for longevity and repeat wear — not a single season.
Will this turn my skin green?
Never. The green reaction is caused by reactive base metals — copper, nickel, brass. Our foundation is strictly Solid 925 Sterling Silver, making every Serra Morphe piece 100% hypoallergenic and completely nickel-free. You feel the weight and warmth of gold. Your skin feels nothing.
Can I wear this in water?
Our 18K vermeil is built for real life — washing your hands, light rain, everyday movement. To preserve its luminosity for years, we recommend removing your pieces before swimming in chlorinated or saltwater, showering, or applying heavy perfume or sunscreen. The gold is not fragile. It simply rewards intention.
Are the materials ethically sourced?
Transparency is our standard. We use Recycled Sterling Silver wherever possible to minimise our environmental impact. Our ClarityForgeâ„¢ stones are either lab-simulated (Clear/Chromatic) or ethically sourced (Elemental/Noir) to guarantee zero conflict mining. It is luxury with a lighter footprint.
Where is the jewellery crafted?
Our creative heart is on the Gold Coast, Australia. Every piece is conceived and refined in our local studio, allowing us to maintain exacting control over the design, architectural proportions, and final finish. It is Australian craftsmanship, engineered for the world.
How are the ClarityForgeâ„¢ stones set and secured?
Every ClarityForge™ stone is precision-set and individually inspected before leaving our studio. We use architectural-grade settings engineered to hold the stone through daily wear — not decorative prongs designed to look good in a photograph. If you ever experience a setting issue, contact us directly. We stand behind every piece.
Will the piece look exactly as shown?
Our product pages include both studio photography and real-wear content from our community, so you can see how each piece sits, moves, and scales on an actual person. Sizing dimensions are listed beneath the Add to Cart button on every product. We are precise about proportions because we believe you deserve to know exactly what you are choosing — before it arrives at your door.
